Description
Metasequoia glyptostroboides
An ancient conical tree that knew the dinosaurs. That has ascending branches and fibrous, orange-brown bark with soft spreading leaves that are fresh green, to ½ inches long on mature trees. Redwood Dawn is well suited deciduous shade tree in landscape planting. Grow in average to humus-rich soil in full sun. Growth is fast, but on dry sites is slower after plant reach 30 feet tall.
