A tall, native, woody-based perennial with linear lance shaped palmately, mid green leaves. In summer and early autumn, bears solitary, spreading, deep red flowers, 6 inch across. Grow in humus rich, moist but well drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Hibiscus needs long, hot summers to flower well.
