Wonderful Fall blooming, Bees and Hummingbird nectar plant!
Fine hairy rich deep purple, the calyx and stem are deep purple and covered with dense, small hairs. Foliage silvery gray with blue green tint. Drought tolerant once establish. Heavy late summer into fall bloomer. May benefit from staking as it gets older. Excellent nectar plant for butterflies and bees, also a great cut or dried flower. Orgin: USA: Beaufort, South Carolina. From the garden of Frances Parker, from common pineapple sage and Mexican bush sage. Named in honor of her grandson.
