Chiapensis Sage - Meadow Sage
Tender herbaceous perennial, bright fuchsia blooms. Chiapensis is a tireless bloomer and one of the best shade loving sages/salvias. Use in hanging basket, containers and bedding plant.
Only in frost free zones can Chiapensis survive in the ground year round, over winter indoors. If brought into a light filter greenhouse, flowering will continue. Cut back foliage hard in late spring, encourage a rest period before fresh growth begins. Frequent deep watering as well as moisture on it's leaves to imitate it cloud-forest habitat, 1/2 strength of liquid fertilizer throughout the growing season.
